My Fairy Crate - September 2018

September's delivery of My Fairy Crate came with quite a few adorable items. I was so excited to see another glossy tarot card (which is what I'm referring to them as) which is one step closer to a whole set. I'm not sure what I will do with them yet, but the prospect of collecting more cards is strong encouragement for me to continue with this subscription box!

This elf and owl are so adorable! His facial expression is too cute and the design is lovely. Of course I'm in love with the fact that there are mushrooms on it! The rest of the items could work for a cute fishing scene - lantern, tackle box, fishing pole, log bench and a frog.

The frog on the left is the new one. The larger of the two frogs I currently have, I've decided to name him Hermitt. And because I've never got around to naming the frog on the right, today's the day. Say hello to Charlene.

Thermin the elf echoes the hoots of Oswald the owl.

In The Garden - My Fairy Crate - July 2018

This container garden may look familiar to My Fairy Folks with a few additions. The majority of it came straight from my visit to Myrtle Creek last month with the addition of the elf in the rear, the tiny glass ladybug and wooden fence up front. These last three items arrived in My Fairy Crate subscription box from July. I created a few other gardens using the rest of the items in that package.

This lovely bird fountain arrived in July's My Fairy Crate. The succulents in this double container garden are clippings from my yard. The purple succulent in the middle rear and surrounding baby clippings are the only plants actually inside the shallow terra cotta garden (previously featured in my Garden A Day series). The flower on the left is a beautiful petunia and on the right is salvia. I decided to boost the foliage feel of this container garden by placing it inside a larger container with existing plants to create the illusion.

Finally, this postbox is the final piece from July's My Fairy Crate. All other decor in this scene was purchased from Hobby Lobby within the last year. My Fairy Folks: Santa's Helpers

One of My Fairy Folks sent in some photos they captured of this small Santa, his sleigh behind him and a bag full of goodies.

"Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to all."

This picture is of Jimmy the Elf, one of Santa's helpers, sent in by another of My Fairy Folks. He travels with Santa and helps him to carry presents down the chimney. Balancing presents on his head is a skill Jimmy has mastered.

Hey, I recognize this face. That's Twinkle the Elf from the North Pole and a friend of Pierre. I guess we discovered what his night job is.

My Fairy Folks: Buddy in Redlands

This week I'd like to share some pictures from one of My Fairy Folks from Redlands, CA, and introduce you to someone special.

This is Buddy the Elf, putting the finishing touches on this Christmas tree. He's very excited for this time of year because it means he gets to go sledding - his most favorite thing in the world! He has his sleigh in his hand, ready to take off.

Surprise Visit for the Holidays

Twinkle the Elf has brought a present for his friend and a cheerful personality to share with the rest of the residents of Grandma's Enchanted Fairy Garden.

This morning my dog, Mr. Peanut, began barking for apparently no reason. I finally got him to quiet down when I realized what had caused this reaction. I heard a light tapping on my window - tap, tap, tap. "What is that?" I asked as Mr. Peanut began to bark again. I pulled back my curtains to find a small elf with a large smile, waving at me through the window pane. I went outside to greet the elf who introduced himself as Twinkle; the name rang a bell. He explained that he had traveled from the North Pole and planned to see his friend, Pierre (pictured to the right), but admitted that he was a little early since it was a surprise visit. "Oh, you're Pierre's friend from the North Pole. I remember him talking about you last year," I said. I told Twinkle that I would get in contact with Pierre who visits King Edward and Queen Marlissa in Mountain Lakes every year around this time.

Twinkle has a bright personality that matches his eyes, a smile as warm as a hug and a nose that reminds me of Bob Hope.

My favorite thing about Twinkle are his dimples - I can't help but smile every time I look at that joyful face.
