Fall Challenge Submissions Pt 1
I sent out a request last month to My Fairy Folks, asking for their photo submissions for Fall-themed gardens. Here are a few that I have received so far.
This reader has decorated their door with a unique looking wreath that has warm colors but is not the typical autumn decor.
This eye-catching set up was put together by one of My Fairy Folks to make visitors feel welcome. This picture shows that this contest is not limited to home decor only, but I do need proof that it is something you put together (and not something you saw in public and then took a picture of).
The challenge will continue through the Fall season. I will choose one winner based on their submissions and the prize is a shout-out on either my blog, YouTube or Instagram (which could include a plug to promote whatever it is you are passionate about).

Fall Challenge to my Readers
This Fall scene is created with autumn-inspired decor such as the stacked pumpkin house, a hay bale and a wheel barrel full of a fall harvest. Send me photos of your fall gardens and I'll feature them on my blog. I'd like to put together a slideshow of all the seasonal gardens and decor sent my way and share them on Instagram. I will choose one entrant at random and share something of their choice (blog, YouTube or other social media)

Illuminate - Autumn Spirits
This month's featured light post is for this interesting strand of lights that I purchased over the summer on sale at Walgreens. It was $3.95 for this one strand which is battery operated. I am calling them "ghost pumpkins" to be festive.
The scarecrow in the rear is lit up by a well positioned lighted orb - I mean, a pumpkin spirit!
This Farmer's Market stand and bundle of wheat in the rear came from My Fairy Crate subscription box this month. With a closer look at the light, they are entwined in a twisted wire which make for a unique look. I might even be able to use these in a western themed garden and call them tumble weeds.

Garden A Day Challenge - Day 4, Warm Glow of Autumn
No no, we did not skip forward in time but it is time for my fourth garden of the Garden A Day Challenge.
This Autumn-themed garden was inspired by a gift I received on my 50th anniversary. My granddaughter gave me this house that comes with pumpkins, a scarecrow, and leaves on the roof scattered about by a brisk wind.
The loose pumpkins, leaves, green coverage and the wicker basket base was all from my personal inventory. The flair behind the house are also things I already owned and have used before, purchased at The Dollar Tree. That means that this garden was zero cost.
I typically don't do off-season gardens, but I felt that this one needed to be created since it was a recent gift and it has a special surprise inside.
It lights up inside! It was hard to take a picture, but there are actually figurines inside as well. This one was plugged in near the vent just for the photo so it won't stay there.
In the future I plan to make more gardens and garden accents with lights. I feel like this will give me another avenue to stretch my legs out on as well as make my garden a bit more appealing at any hour.

Preparing the Feast
They say a picture can say a thousand words - it's a shame I can't trade some of those words for a smell because this picture here smells delicious! We're prepping for the Fall Festival here in the garden.
The scarecrows are keeping a look out, making sure no critters come and mess with the food before it's ready. They are also great whistlers!
These cuties begged to help with the food prep and it's their first year. They're so excited!
Pumpkin - the fairy - sits between some of the harvest, examining a small pumpkin, trying to decide what recipe would best suit it.
What a lovely Fall day!

Fall Has Arrived
Hazel the witch has made an appearance in the garden right on time and has brought some friends. Last year she helped pass out candy to the young fairies that celebrated Halloween.
This decorative witch heel is an example of how to change any container garden into a themed garden to add a little festive flair to your space.
This is Grover the Hedgehog, one of Hazel's friends. He's dressed as a Wizard.
Hazel is happy that her friends can join her in celebrating Fall this year in Grandma's Enchanted Fairy Garden. It won't be long now until the preparations begin.
This is another visiting friend, Hootie the owl. He's most excited for the Fall Festival food that Hazel has told him about.
These two scarecrows can't help but smile.

The Queen's Courtyard

| The Fairy Council shares with the rest of the leaders and community representatives what they felt were the pros and cons of the Halloween Festival. |

| Rose, Tink and Samm suggest that the next holiday celebration be a little more watered down than the Halloween Festival extravaganza. Perhaps then everything will go smoothly. |

| Andy the Scarecrow sits next to the young fairies Nicholai, Bitsy and Johnny Jump (L to R) who also have opinions on this matter. |

| Queen AmberLynn does her best to set a good example for her daughter, Princess Jezelle, hoping she will pay attention to the way a Queen runs community meetings since Jezelle will be expected to at some point in the future. |

| Jezelle had every intention to listen well, but Mr. Blue the Peacock would much rather play and is becoming a distraction. |

| Despite her efforts, Jezelle finally gives in and loses concentration on the meeting to play with Mr. Blue. |

| Brittania, Keeper of the Dragons, listens intently whilst Mr. Smokey snuggles up at her feet. Lucky looks on, a bit jealous of the attention Mr. Smokey is getting, but too stubborn to vie for affection. |

Fall Fairy Garden Tour: Woodland Grove
Continuing the Fall Fairy Garden Tour, Woodland Grove is a small collection of homes made from nature; mushrooms, tree bark and a hallowed-out gourd. Bobby and Sue, the mischievous duo, live in this neighborhood.

| Here is the playground area for the Fairy children, including a mushroom playhouse and a nice seating area for parents with a watchful eye to relax and chat. |

| Bobby and Sue have just finished their afternoon tea and continue their day of play outside of their tree stump home. |
 |
| On second glance, it seems they didn't actually drink their tea - they just poured it all out on the ground! Tsk tsk. |
