Armstrong Nursery Haul - May 2019

This is basically a tour of the Armstrong Garden Center in Claremont (735 E Foothill Blvd, Claremont, CA 91711). I made a trip here last month and also created a video of the items I purchased.

I picked up some small fairy garden accessories, including a new baby, and some new colorful flowers and foliage. I spent more than I would have liked to, but it's hard to contain myself when surrounded by such beautiful things!

Haul - Green Scene Expo 2019

Here are 5 succulents I purchased from a vendor at the Green Scene Expo in Fullerton. The four purple succulents were purchased especially for a project I'm working on. The four in the front were purchased due to their unique look and the fact that I do not have them yet in my garden. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of any of these plants.

I purchased these two watering cans from the Fullerton Garden Club booth, each with drainage which would make lovely container gardens. They're represented at this event every year and I always manage to find something at their booth for my garden.

Two golden berry plants! One of the main reasons I attended this event. This plant is hard to find and I just loved the berries from my garden last year so I made sure to get to the event early. I walked directly to this booth when I arrived to find a crowd of people already after my beloved plants! I was still able to purchase two healthy golden berry plants, but I'm sure if I was an hour later, they would have all been gone. What a popular plant!

This crystal flower was purchased at a booth that sold many crystal creations ranging from flora and fauna! I was even told by my friend that the vendor has a storefront and I plan to make a trip soon.

And finally, I brought two new fairies home! These twin sisters came with their own mushroom stools, sold by the same vendor as the crystal creations.

Hobby Lobby Haul - February 2019

I found four new fairy houses at Hobby Lobby. They have great sale prices that allowed me to pick up these four houses for just over $20!
I have quite a bit of catching up to do due to the rain and my surgery but I'm off to a good start now.

Lovely New Purchases

I purchased some lovely decorations recently that are going to be perfect for Valentine-themed gardens. The trailer in the middle is from Hobby Lobby and is actually a birdhouse, but birdhouses make wonderful additions to fairy gardens.

Here is the back of the trailer, with a cute little flower box under the rear window.

I purchased this item at Jo-Ann's. This floral bench would help set the scene for a park or mini-garden and could even seat a fairy or two if you have the right size and flexibility.

This item was purchased at Michael's. I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and realized that the pink flowers here matched the bench I had also purchased that day. I'm always on the look out for new fairies.

Here is the rear view of the swinging fairy. Her wings are so colorful and there are pink mushrooms at the base, which is a bonus for me.

New Purchases - Hobby Lobby

Here are the items I purchased recently at Hobby Lobby. See, I didn't go overboard. I told you I have self control!

Have you ever tried to find a little girl gnome? It's almost as hard as finding male fairies, but voila, here she is! Also, I have no idea where to put this chair but I knew I needed it.

This miniature park bench looks overgrown with ivy, perfect for an overgrown looking container garden.

Can you guess where these beautiful mermaids will go in my garden? I'm sure you've correctly guessed Fairy Shores. You'll see them again late Spring.

A week after this shopping trip (yay, payday!) I went back to Hobby Lobby and purchased the pink trailer that I plan to use in the upcoming Valentine's Day themed garden. Keep an eye out! Do you have any plans for a Valentine's Day themed garden? Send me some pictures and a description and I can post it here on my blog.

New Purchases: Parkview Nursery

During my recent visit to Parkview Nursery in Riverside (to read about my trip and see pictures of a lot of wonderful stuff they sell, please CLICK HERE), I brought home a few irresistible items that I'd like to show you.

This father and son are enjoying a winter swing. This piece was the only winter-themed item I picked up during this trip but there were plenty to choose from. Believe it or not, this item lights up very bright and is battery operated.

These two fairies are enjoying their pets, out for a morning ride, hoping and running. These two look like they could be sisters, matching wings and clothes, which makes for easier character development. There were a handful of fairies with companion animals.

These two girls are best friends in their new home. I was very happy to find that this duet was the perfect size for this wagon. Often times, it can be difficult to find fairies and props proportionate to one another, but Parkview Nursery has a large selection to choose from, including an array of sizes.

This is a clothes line where fairies can hang their cleaned clothes on. This is a hot ticket item! This unique piece can easily fit into any fairy garden scene which is probably why they're flying off the shelves! If you're interested in this piece, you need to visit ASAP. Also, if you know of any other locations that sell pieces like this, I'd be interested to know because I think having a few different clotheslines would be a cute addition to my fairy garden.

Since none of these pieces have found a home in my garden yet, I would like to open up the floor to allow any of My Fairy Folks to suggest names for any of the fairies (or snow people) above. Feel free to comment below and share your thoughts.
