Celebrating Mardi Gras

Myleene poses in front of a Mardi Gras themed flower arrangement.

Wherever Myleene goes, Carolina is sure to follow! Carolina poses for her own photoshoot.

What would a Mardi Gras celebration be without music? Soulless, that's what! The musical group, Soulmen, keep the festivities lively for hours on end.

Myleene might actually be a bit peeved to see that I've posted this photo, but I liked the flower arrangement that she found herself tangled up in after having a bit too much to drink.

Growth Spurt

Above is a collage that my granddaughter made for me from photos taken to show the growth progress of a few of my sunflowers.

This shy sunflower is not ready for center stage just yet.

"Okay, maybe just a little peek."

"Like this? I think I can do this."

"You can't keep me from showing off you grumpy rain clouds!"

My granddaughter poses next to Myleene, left, and Carolina to show the size comparison. She is standing on a low wall, otherwise the sunflower would be taller than her!
Myleene admits that this is her favorite place to relax. She says the sunflower colors remind her of the sunrise at anytime of day.

Myleene and Carolina

Myleene poses with Polly the Parrot and Carolina, her old friend and new addition to the community, for a photo opportunity at the Spring Festival.

Carolina and Myleene have been best friends for a long time. Myleene has been bragging about living in Grandma's Fairy Garden in the letters she sends to Carolina and invited her to move in. Carolina arrived just in time to celebrate with her friend, and make new ones, at the Spring Festival.

Myleene is very happy to see her friend again.

Carolina poses for her very first portrait for Grandma.

Carolina and Myleene spent most of the Spring Festival separated from the crowds, catching up.

Grandma is so happy to have another fairy in her garden, especially one who has such a good friend already.
