This container garden is quite different from my typical design. The Terra-cotta saucer works great in this case since there are no live plants and no reason to fill a container with soil. I've placed a succulent clipping in a planter behind it. This is another garden that will be easy for children to participate in with no worry of killing a plant, and it can be placed anywhere, even indoors. All decor items in this scene came from a subscription box - My Fairy Crate.
